Pfizer Manufacturing Room

The project consisted of the design of several areas related to drug production at the Pfizer facility in Vega Baja. Although work was done on the planning of multiple spaces, including a vault for the storage of Opium derivatives, construction documents were developed for two areas. The first, a clean room manufacturing area of approximately 1,500 square feet, in which the location of various equipment such as tablets and mixers, among others, was coordinated. This space required the coordination of air conditioning systems with HEPA filters, perimeter suction, and suspended ceiling walkable with access for maintenance. The second area consisted of an airlock between manufacturing spaces and service aisles. It included space with automatic roll-up doors for forklift access and space for employee gowning. Both areas were worked with the rest of the manufacturing plant in place, requiring careful coordination of the construction and demolition phases.
