INTEGRA is an Architecture and Engineering (A/E) firm headquartered in Puerto Rico. Our services, specialized and integrated, are grouped in three categories: A/E Design & Ideation, Infrastructure Planning & Design, and Construction Management & Consulting.
Integra is currently looking for Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering students to join our team in San Juan, PR for a COOP experience. The successful candidate will take an active role working directly with Integra Engineers, assisting in the field assessment/inspection of the existing distribution feeders of LUMA’s system. The main goal is to perform field inspections of overhead facilities and documenting damaged assets to be repaired or replaced. The results of this detailed inspection will help define the scope of restoration and upgrades of the distribution feeders to industry standards.
Potential projects include new or rebuild power lines design.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate conditions of existing electrical distribution lines.
- Documenting all feeders and poles conditions and finding in a dedicated application.
- Field visits to all feeders’ sites.
- Interact with some clients to coordinate access to the assets.
- Attends meetings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Active student in a recognized educational institution for a bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering, three (3) years or more in college is preferred.
- Availability to work in the field, north and central areas in PR.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills as well as verbal and written communication skills (Spanish\English preferred).
- Computer skills required, with ability to use Microsoft Office and AutoCAD in such applications as spreadsheets, databases, and engineering software.
- Available to work island wide.
- Driver license.
