Our department if Full BIM and our engineers are well trained for it.

Job Description

INTEGRA is currently looking for an Entry-level or Mid-level Structural Engineer to join our team in San Juan, PR. The successful candidate will take on an active role working directly with senior engineers to assist in performing structural analysis and design tasks of a variety of projects. The candidate will work on projects including the design of new buildings of every size, bridge superstructures & sub-structures, design of overhead transmission lines, the analysis and design of earth retaining structures, shallow and deep foundations and the analysis of existing structures.

The candidate will be accountable for assigned routine structural engineering tasks with the advice and mentoring of the Senior Staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assisting Senior Engineers by performing specific engineering tasks

· Performing analysis and design calculations for new and existing buildings including Concrete, HR & CF Steel, Wood and Masonry elements using a combination of hand calculations, spreadsheets, and computer software.

· Preparing and editing designs and drawings recommended by Senior Engineers

  • Study and apply the latest codes, standards and design guidelines including IBC, PRBC, ASCE-7, AASHTO LRFD, ACI 318, TMS 402, ASCE 41, among others.
  • Preparation of technical specifications and design documents, report writing
  • Interact with other professionals, clients, and contractors
  • Travel to client locations for meetings and site visits
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is required, Master’s with Structural emphasis is preferred.

· 1-3+ years of experience are preferred; however we are considering entry level candidates with a real interest and passion in structural engineering.

· EIT or PE certifications or the ability to obtain such licenses withing the fisrt year.

· Knowledge of relevant codes or standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE, AASHTO, IBC, etc.)

· Excellent technical and interpersonal skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English\Spanish required)

· Computer skills required, with ability to use such applications as spreadsheets, databases, and engineering software.

· Proficiency in structural analysis software preferred

· Familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM 360 and Revit or other drawing\design software is preferred
