● Manage the design and development of substation, transmission, and distribution electrical systems

● Lead a team of electrical and civil engineers throughout the design process

● Prepare accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and reports

● Monitor and control design-related costs, including materials and labor, identifying cost-saving opportunities and value-engineering electrical designs

● Collaborate closely with the management team and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery

● Ensure all electrical designs comply with applicable codes and standards (LUMA, PREPA, NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFP)

● Interact with other professionals, clients, and consultants

● Travel to project and client locations for meetings and site visits

● Make periodic field visits to sites as required

● Attend meetings and interact with clients

● Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

● Knowledge in design and construction of electrical power systems projects

● Professional Engineer (PE) license required

● Member of the College of Engineers and Surveyors of Puerto Rico

● Excellent technical and interpersonal skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills (Spanish/English preferred)

● Computer skills required, including Microsoft Office and Project for spreadsheets, databases, scheduling, and engineering software

● Proven experience in leading and managing design teams

● Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality
